KBSL offers two paid positions - Umpires and Concession Workers. Keep reading for more information and to find out how to apply!
*KBSL hires students between 14 and 18 years old. Please note, these positions, including the application process, hold the responsibilities of a paying job. Interested students must apply themselves - applications should not be submitted by parents on behalf of their student.
Umpire Applicants must possess:
- Some experience playing baseball or softball (not required to be former KBSL players.)
- Confidence in communicating with peers, youth players and adult coaches.
- A positive attitude and the ability to act maturely and responsibly, arrive on time and follow directions.
- A willingness to learn and remember baseball and softball rules.
- Availability to work at least two nights per week (5:15-9:30pm) from mid-May until the end of June.
- A willingness to commit to working the entire season, without requesting more than two full weeks off.

Concession Stand Applicants must possess:- Confidence communicating with Customers - taking and preparing orders, accepting payment and making change.
- A positive attitude and the ability to act maturely and responsibly, arrive on time and follow directions.
- A willingness to learn and comply with Health Department codes (training and instruction provided.)
- Availability to work at least two nights per week (between the hours of 5:00 and 10:00pm) from mid-May until the end of June.
- A willingness to commit to working the entire season.
